The ERBM Recreation and Park District has an amazing 25,000 sq ft. facility featuring a family aquatic center with a lap pool, leisure pool with zero depth entry, water slide, lazy river and hot tub. The facility also offers a modern fitness room with state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment, a dance and fitness studio, a multi-purpose room for meetings and educational classes, along with a lounge area with free Wi-Fi.
The ERBM Recreation and Park District oversees and up keeps all of the local parks in the town of Meeker. Each park offers a variety of family friendly equipment to increase the outdoor fun for kids of all ages. Fifty-seven acres of open space, known as The Phillip and Dorcas Jensen Memorial Park, is a set of groomed hiking and mountain biking trails for all skill levels. One trail head is located at Meeker’s newest park, Sanderson Hills. Paintbrush Park and Town Park have recently received upgraded playground equipment. Circle Park offers in town fishing and an ice rink in the winter.
The ERBM Recreation and Park District produces a brochure every two months that is packed full of programs and activities for the young and young at heart. This includes baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, fitness classes, swimming lessons, and day trips for the active adults in the community, to name a few. The District hosts many events throughout the year as well. Summer entertainment consists of concerts on the courthouse lawn and movies under the stars, while winter entertainment features an annual dinner theatre and a local talent show.
Founded in 1981, the ERBM Recreation & Park District is a non-profit recreation organization whose mission is to create opportunities for recreational, cultural and park activities for the residents of, and visitors to, Eastern Rio Blanco County. ERBM strives to provide programs that encourage healthy lifestyles and that contribute to creating a livable community. For over 30 years, ERBM has been the primary resource for recreational opportunities for children, families and adults in Eastern Rio Blanco County. ERBM has a strong tradition of improving the quality of recreation while working to meet the needs of our community.
