March Citizen of the Month – Aaron Grimes

Aaron Grimes has been nominated as citizen of the month for his abundance of volunteering, community stewardship and public land conservation.

From seeking grants to volunteer coaching, Aaron Grimes is continually helping to improve our community. He coordinated Community Stewardship Days and headed the National Public Lands Day. While helping to maintain and improve our lands, he is consistently volunteering for many youth and community programs. He researched and received a grant to bring a free mountain bike clinic for the youth of our community. He has also created the Park to Art Race maps for both 2017 and 2018 for the ERBM Recreation & Park District. He taught multiple Leave No Trace hikes to ensure that the resources we have for recreation remain intact for future generations to enjoy.

Aaron is a member of the band, Casserole Beans. He has volunteered to assist the Meeker Arts & Cultural Council with their Meekerpalooza Music & Fun Festival, in bringing new bands to play in Meeker and adding to the success of the event.

Thank you Aaron for making Meeker a better place to live!
