Kris Kasey is the October Citizen of the Month!
Kris Kasey has been a Barone Middle School teacher for the past 12 years, teaching 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies. Nine of those years have been spent organizing and fundraising for the 8th grade Washington DC trip. Kris devotes countless hours coordinating numerous fundraising opportunities so her students are able to travel to Washington DC each spring. Throughout the year, Kris and her students are busy raising money at all the middle school concessions, helping Lions Club at Range Call, running booths at the Fall Festival and Meekerpalooza, and assisting with clean-up at Sheepdog Trials and 4-H horse show.
Her skills do not end in the classroom when she is not teaching or fundraising, Kris can be found jogging alongside the MHS Cross Country team or assisting the MHS track team.
Kris Kasey’s secret talents, are knitting and cake balls!
Thank you Kris Kasey for all you do for the youth in the Meeker community.
